Lisa teaches a children's Bible class of 30 to 40 children and finds no problems with discipline as the children are captivated by the Word of God.
Question: What should I do when the children begin to get distracted and out-of-hand when I’m teaching the Bible lesson?
Answer: Pull back the children’s wandering minds by
a pointed question for which they do not know the answer. Next engage their hands in finding the answer in their Bibles. Move along quickly into having all the children read the Scripture text with you in unison. Ask the question again. Call upon and afirm the children’s answer.
It is a good idea to have many back up texts in mind or in your notes for use in these situations. It takes preparation but the results are very rewarding.
